Fr Howard James
Fr Howard James was born in London, of Jamaican parents and was raised in Jamaica where he attended primary and secondary school and college. He returned to London where he worked in a Travel Agency and then for BT.
He attended Allen Hall, the Westminster Diocesan Seminary and spent one year at the American College in Louvain, Belgium. He then did his post graduate degree at the KU Leuven, Belgium.
Fr Howard was ordained by Cardinal Hume in 1991 at Westminster Cathedral and has served in the Diocese of Westminster, the Catholic Missionary Society, the Diocese of St John's Basseterre, Antigua and two assignments in Jamaica.
Fr Howard has been with St Agnes since September 2021 and he is an integral part of the school community and supports the school with all Holy Days of obligation. He is the link governor for attendance and offers support to families in overcoming the barriers to attendance. Father can be regularly seen in the school, often dropping in to lessons to check on pupils and staff.
