Religious Education at St. Agnes Primary School
Coordinator: Mrs C. Manning
At St. Agnes School we believe we should provide opportunities for all who are involved in the life of the school to come to know Christ through knowledge of the Gospels and the traditions and practices of the Catholic Church.
We will always try to follow in the way of Christ and through this will learn how to care, love and respect all members of his family and to grow in knowledge, love and understanding of God and the world around us.
We will support the parents in their role as the main example of Christian living and educators of their children so that with Christ as the centre of their lives they will look to find their place in the world.
You can find out more about Religious Education by reading our RE and Prayer polices - see the links below

Religious Education Curriculum
We follow the objectives in the Religious Education Curriculum Directory - see the download link below for more information,
We use the Come and See RE programme to deliver the curriculm.
The Come and See programme has been developed to respond to the needs of children today in their faith journey, to enable them to grow in their religious literacy and understanding in a way that is coherent with current educational principles. It is designed to support teachers in their delivery of religious education. It integrates the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the Catholic Levels of Attainment and the new Religious Education Curriculum Directory.
At the heart of the programme is the mystery of God’s self-revelation of love through Jesus Christ. Come and See gives pupils the opportunity to explore the mystery of faith through Scripture and Tradition.
Come and See offers the opportunity to search, to explore, to discover, and to respond; this is part of what it is to be human.
Children Come and See the wonder of all that is within them and beyond them. God offers the invitation to Come and See. Teachers facilitate the opportunity for children to Come and See.
