Dear Parents / Carers,
For homework this week, your child has:
  • Maths sheets relating to our current class topic,
  • A reading comprehension
  • Research for our Geography topic, the Antarctic. (Your child should be able to locate it on a map, know names of nearby countries / oceans,  find out information about the temperature and climate, plant and animal life, inhabitants, does it have any natural resources etc.) and 
  • Spellings, which are part of the year 5 & 6 statutory spelling list and linked to our current class work. They need to learn the spellings for testing next week and put them into sentences.

 Topic research/project ….Can you research The Antarctic. When doing your research find out about the location of the Antarctic, the climate, the biomes, its animals and plants and how they adapt to their surrounding,  its natural resources and how global warming is being felt there.  Present the research  in any form you want e.g. a drawing, a PowerPoint, a model, a fact file
