Hello Nursery.
I am so sorry we won’t see each other this week, but here are some activities to keep you busy. I hope you enjoy them, and we will see each other soon. Love from Miss Karla.
Read a story together every day. Your child can choose a favourite story, or you might have a new one you’d like to share with them. As you read, encourage your child to talk about the pictures, and what the characters are doing in the story. If it is a story they know well, they may want to join in with some of the repeated language, or tell you what is going to happen next.
Encourage your child to draw a picture every day, of whatever they would like to draw. As they draw, remind them to think about the shapes and colours of the things they are drawing. If it is a person or animal, they might need reminding to add all of the body parts, or the correct number of fingers or legs. Your child should also be encouraged to think about background details for their picture. For example, is there a road, or trees? What kind of weather is it? Ask your child to write their name on their work, using their name card to help them.
Try and get some exercise every day. Perhaps you could put on one of your child’s favourite songs, and they could make up their own dance to it.
There is a video of favourite nursery songs provided underneath for your child to join in with, as often as they like.
There is also a phonics and maths video for every day too. Enjoy! Comments are closed.
