Year 2 Homework Blog - 13.09.21

Hello Year Two! 

Welcome back to school everyone, I am so looking forward to being your teacher again this year.
Every Monday you will find your homework posted here as well as in the two yellow books you take home. The tasks you will have to complete are:

• Maths fluency: These will relate to the work that we are doing in class. It is important that you keep practicing these skills so that you become really accurate and quick! Aim to work on these for 10/15+ minutes a day. Please sign your math fluency book every day and tell me what you do. 
• Reading: Try to read for 20+ minutes a day. Reading isn’t just about reading the words on the page, it’s all about understanding what the story is trying to tell you. Make sure that you can answer questions about your book. Please ensure your reading record is also signed everyday!
• Spelling: You will have 3-5 spellings to look at and learn every week. These will help with your reading, writing and maybe even maths in class.
• Word of the week: Just like we do in class, you will need to research the word of the week. You may like to use this online dictionary: https://kids.wordsmyth.net/we/
