Hello again Year 1!! I miss you all lots and I am so impressed with all of your hard work last week, it's great to know that you are all continuing your learning at home. I love being able to see how you are doing on PurpleMash; see if you can leave a comment once you have completed some of your work, I would love to hear from you. The weekly timetable is jam packed full of ideas for you to have at go with at home. However, if you can't access the internet everyday, or you are sharing a computer, tablet or smart phone, DO NOT WORRY! I understand that everything is a little difficult at the moment, the work is there to help you create some sort of routine which is similar to school. I saw that Miss McKenna in Year 2 had a great idea of a brain teaser to start the week. I thought you could give something similar a go. Happy learning! Here is your timetable of activities to do this week: ![]()
This is the grid for Tuesday's English lesson. You don't need to print it out, you can just copy it down on a piece of paper. Remember, when discussing your work a home, to speak in full sentences and to use ambitious vocabulary. This ties into the oracy work we have been doing this year. If you want to do more work than I have suggested, the BBC bitesize website are hosting lessons every day. There is always more learning to do if you would like to! https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/tags/zjpqqp3/year-1-lessons/1 Here are the website links you need this week: https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/member-only/Phase3Menu.htm - Phonics https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zd63xyc/articles/zncgvk7 - English (super hero games) https://www.purplemash.com/sch/stagnese3 - English and Science https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-1/ - Maths https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z3rbg82/articles/zq2yfrd - Maths fractions video and quiz https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zcyr87h - RE The Good Samaritan Story https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/?view=image&query=&type=book&age_group=Age+5-6&level=&level_select=&book_type=&series= - Reading books at home https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z6882hv/articles/zp92xnb - Science (Mammals) https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/z6882hv/articles/zp9pfg8 - Science (Reptiles) Here are the YouTube videos for this week: I hope you are enjoying reading the blogs and trying some of the work as much as I am enjoying making them.
