Spelling template 

Welcome back to the homework blogs Year Three!

Each week I will be posting your homework here. You will have the following tasks to complete: 

• A Reading Reminder: reading for at least 20 minutes per night and discussing the text with a parent or carer. I provided everyone with question prompts in the welcome letter. 
• Word of the week: an ambitious piece of vocabulary for you to research. Can you find the definition? Put it into a sentence of your own? Look for synonyms? 
• Maths Fluency Activity: an activity to get you super confident at basic maths skills. These will be stuck in your maths fluency books on a Monday morning. They should not be completed in the fluency book, but on a whiteboard, scrap piece of paper or in a notebook at home. The fluency book is only for an adult to sign and make comments. 
• Spellings: these will be a mix from our year 3/4 word list and our learning in class. Total of 5! Please ensure you are completing the spellings for the correct group. You are either ping or pong. Your spelling group has been stuck into the back of your reading record. 
• An occasional piece of Topic/RE: something to discuss at home, something to make, something to share with us at school.
