Hello Year 1!!
Welcome to week 4 of your home learning blog. I hope you all had a restful weekend, and enjoyed the bank holiday on Friday. Did you do anything special to celebrate VE day?
You all continue to impress me with your hard work at home! I can see that you are all remembering our core values of contribute, persevere and believe as you are definitely achieving a great deal during this time in lockdown. I have really really enjoyed reading the comments you have left on PurpleMash too, so thank you Kayden, Daisy, Christianna, Sonny, Genevieve and Arabella. These help me to feel like we are in some sort of classroom altogether.
I would love to see some of the work you have completed - especially the masks from last week - email a picture to firstname.lastname@example.org and include my name in the title. I could even share some of your work on next weeks blog!!
This week, as you all know, I will be calling you all to see if you have any news to share with me. I am really looking forward to hearing from you all and having a catch up - remember this needs to be on speaker phone so your parents/carers can be a part of the conversation too.
Here's a riddle to get your brains in gear for this week:
Here is your week 4 home learning timetable:

Find out as much as you can about the word 'roaming':

What words do you know that are similar to the word 'roaming'?
What would 'roaming' look like?
What do you know about the number 30?
What numbers add together to give you a total of 30?
How many tens are there? How many ones?
Is it an even number or an odd number, how do you know?
Can you write the word for 30?
What is one more and one less?
What is 10 more and 10 less?
Can you think of anything else to do with 30?
