Hello everyone,
I hope you are all doing well and keeping safe!
Remember to look at the
Year 5 blog and see what your friends are sharing.
God bless and stay safe,

Miss O'Garro
Miss O'Garro's song of the week
This week I have chosen:
Kes - Hello

Last week we were blessed with beautiful, sunny weather. Now, even though it doesn't look like we will get that again this week, I thought I would still share my favourite song for the summer. I love how soca music always makes me feel like I'm on the beach in the Caribbean.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a young wizard? What if you found out you actually were one? Let’s imagine you are! What would you look like? What would you wear? What special powers would you have?
Put all your ideas onto ‘Top Wizard’ cards in TopTrump style.

The world is a special place God asks us to care of it

Catholic Social Teaching:
A Key Principle – Stewardship of creation.
The earth and all life on it is God’s creation. We are called to take care of it because it is a holy gift from God and the only place we can live. When we make bad or thoughtless use of the earth’s resources, many people suffer. When we make poor choices about how we treat other living things (people, animals, plants) we cause life to be less than God intends. Making wise choices about the care of God’s creation is called good stewardship.
Ask the question of each statement in the document below: Is this good stewardship?

 Hello Year 5,
I hope you are all doing well and keeping safe!

Thank you Marlon for your explanation text about your animal called Rabzeog, which is made of three different animals. It has a head of a rabbit, a body of a zebra and a tail of a dog.
Keep up the good work!

A lot of you have shared your work on the Purple Mash blog and it is absolutely wonderful to see. Remember to look at the Year 5 blog and see what your friends are sharing. People have shared stories and their Solar System projects.

God bless and stay safe,
Miss O'Garro
Miss O'Garro's song of the week
This week I have chosen:
Rodney Jerkins & The Good News - Come Together
The chorus depicts why I have chosen this song this week:
"If we come together hand and hand,
We can make a difference if we stand.
I believe I believe we will, I believe I believe we can.
If we learn to take our trust from man,
And just put it all in Gods hands.
I believe I believe he will, I believe I believe we can"

Miss O'Garro's song of the week
This week I have chosen:
Janet Jackson - Together Again
Miss Donnelly reminded me of this great song this week. I loved it as a child and still love it as an adult. Once the beat kicks in, I just can't help but dance throughout the song. It reminds me of happy days, trying to learn the dance routine.
Hopefully we will be 'together again' soon.

God bless you all and stay safe.

Miss O'Garro's song of the week
This week I have chosen:
Ben E. King - Stand by Me
It is a beautiful and powerful song that is relevant due to current issues. It reiterates the words from my favourite psalm - which has continuously remained on the right side of the blog - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear (Psalm 46.1-2). During the month of June, when we think about how much Jesus loves us, remember those words. Remember that He is always with us, He is always protecting us.
I pray that God continues to stand by us all.
God bless you and continue to stay safe.
'I won't be afraid just as long as you stand by me.'

Miss O'Garro's song of the week
Bob Marley - Three Little Birds
This week, as it is my mum's birthday, I let her pick the song. She chose this song because when she is feeling anxious, she thinks of Bob's words:
'Don't worry about a thing because every little thing is going to be alright!'
