I would like to start by saying a huge WELL DONE and THANK YOU to everyone who accessed the homework blog last week. Please continue to learn your weekly spellings, work on your maths fluency tasks for 10/15+ minutes a day, read for 20+ minutes a day and research our word of the week!

Hello Year 2!
Every Monday you will find your homework posted here. The tasks you will
have to complete are:

Maths fluency: These will relate to the work that we are doing in class. It is important that you keep practicing these skills so that you become really accurate and quick! Aim to work on these for 10/15+ minutes a day
Reading: Try to read for 20+ minutes a day. Reading isn’t just about reading the words on the page, it’s all about understanding what the story is trying to tell us. I have attached a questions for reading document for parents/carers to use.
Spelling: You will have 3 spellings to look at and learn every week. These will help with your reading and writing in class.
Word of the week: Just like we do in class, you will need to research the word of the week. You may like to use this online dictionary: https://kids.wordsmyth.net/we/
