Home learning (week beginning 01/06/2020)

1/6/2020

Welcome back to the blog Year Two!
How are you all? I do hope that everyone had a lovely half term break.

As we enter month of June, I have a new quote of the month to share with you all. Whilst it is strange not being able to take books out from our classroom library, I must say how proud I am of everyone for continuing to read books at home or online. If you have not already accessed, the Oxford Owl eBook library is a fantastic resource with lots of free eBooks from a wide range of genres. You will find the link to the website on the righthand side of this page.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK YEAR TWO! ⭐
Picture
This quote comes from a famous author named Dr Seuss. Do you recognise that name? Some of you may have read his stories. Here is a link to my favourite Dr Seuss story... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItPdeUnu5UI.

Weekly spellings
Please do not worry if you cannot print it out, just copy them down onto a piece of paper!

NUMBER OF THE WEEK
What can you tell me about the number...
Picture
Can you double it? What is 10 more? How about 10 less? Is it odd or even? What does 9 look like written as a word? Can you multiply 9 by 2? How about 5?
My secret code...
Did anyone attempt to crack my secret code over half term? Here it is again as a reminder along with this weeks brain teaser! As always, I will leave the answers to the previous brain teasers at the bottom of this weeks blog.

Peter's father has 5 sons. The names of four sons are Fefe, Fifi, Fofo and Fufu. What is the name of the fifth son?
