Home Learning, Week Beginning 13.6.20

13/7/2020

Year 3,
Regrettably I write this post with some teary eyes and an aching heart. It has come to our last week of the school year and to say it has been eventful would be an understatement.

Sadly, we never managed to return to class together, and it has been very difficult and very sad but I would like to let you know, we always will be together. You have worked incredibly hard, risen to the junior challenges, made me and each other laugh and learned some very wonderful lessons. So, before I show you your tasks this week, I have just one thing to say...
Picture
It has been a total pleasure seeing you grow into junior boys and girls and for this I just have to say, how very proud I am of every single one of you.

Now...
Continue Daily:
  • PE With Joe (30 Mins)
  • Reading (30 minutes)
  • TTRS

myOn reading is available over the summer for you to keep reading, keep learning and keep yourself entertained. This will keep your brain in gear and help you learn many, many, many new words ready for year 4.

You can continue to complete activities on TTRS as well as Mathletics as well - let me see some of that fab maths.
Picture
I end the year with this favourite song of mine. Very poignant, very true and very inspiring. BE PROUD!
Picture
I cannot express how much I am proud of you all year 3 and how much I miss you. As we leave year 3 together, remember...
  • Love yourself
  • Love others
  • Be Fabulous
  • Treat others how you want to be treated and...
  • If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it!

Remember you are special. Keep chasing rainbows.

Mathematics

Let's look back at some of the FAB maths we have learned together. Below, I have found  maths booklets for you that you can use this week and over the summer to remind yourself of the Year 3 targets. So, what you should try to do is an objective (one topic/theme) per day to help you remember some of the very important maths we persevered with this year. Have fun! They were totally free. Challenge yourselves, your siblings and your family!

Activity: List poems - Wishes (p12/13)
The lists about things that you have missed are like wishes. In this writing idea, you can contrast things that you really want to do with things that sound fancy but actually you can do without. For instance, I don t have to travel to the Caribbean but I wouldn't mind a trip to Weston-super-Mare. I don t have to travel in a limousine but I wouldn't mind a bike ride down to the shops. Make a list of a few simple things that you d like to do but haven t been able to do.
