Home Learning, Week Beginning 18.5.20

Picture
Hi Year 3!
Welcome to another week's worth of home learning! I very much enjoyed chatting to you last week. It was so nice hearing your voices. And yes - I am still missing you all very much. Stay strong. Hang on in there!

Maths is still being set by the White Rose Maths Hub! You will find the link to the right of this screen. Remember: Follow my lead - not the website. Look at the lessons I have set.

Continue Daily:
  • PE With Joe (30 Mins)
  • Reading (30 minutes)
  • Complete Times Table Rockstars (30 Mins)

English: You have a great new English activity booklet called "The Truth about trolls" See daily posts for help on the pages to complete. Your teacher Mr Bird will be teaching you. He does look suspiciously like me with grey hair. Obviously lockdown hasn't been very kind!

Take a look at the end of the week's posting. I have gone a little bit wild and have given you some more Golden Time ideas!

Now, next week is officially May Half term. So. Have break from learning, have some days off (if you haven't had enough already) and practise your creative skills by baking, cooking, drawing, art/dt.

As a final thought, I leave you with one of my favourite affirmations and a motivational song which I think suits at this very moment. I cannot express how much I am proud of you all year 3 and how much I miss you.
  • Be good
  • Be safe
  • Be positive
  • and...

"Make your own kind of Music" year 3. Remember you are special.

God Bless

Create complex sentences using a range of conjunctions
Activity: Practice making complex sentences using conjunctions. A complex sentence is formed when you join a main clause and a subordinate clause with a conjunction A subordinate clause is one that relies on a main clause to make sense.
The conjunctions in complex sentences are subordinating conjunctions and they tell us about the order or the place in which things happened or tell us a cause or effect relationship between events. Connectives used in complex sentences include after, although, as, because, if, since, unless, when.
