Picture
Hello Year 3.
Welcome to another week's worth of home learning! How are you all keeping? Are you enjoying your online learning??? I have seen some fabulous work and progress. Keep it up!

Maths is still being set by the White Rose Maths Hub! You will find the link to the right of this screen. Remember: Follow my lead - not the website. Look at the lessons I have set.

Continue Daily:
  • PE With Joe (30 Mins)
  • Reading (30 minutes)
  • Complete Times Table Rockstars (30 Mins)
I am very much still missing you all and hope to see you soon. Please keep positive and let's keep praying that we will see each other soon.

As a special treat, Miss Kangal Nurse and I have set you a fun PE active challenge. Take a look at the end of the week's posting.

As a final thought, I leave you with one of my favourite affirmations and a motivational song which I think suits at this very moment. I cannot express how much I am proud of you all year 3 and how much I miss you. Please:
  • stay home
  • stay safe
  • stay strong
"We'll always be together, together in Year 3 electric dreams!

God Bless
Mr Crow

The Presentation: Luke 2:22-40
Activity:
  1. Start your learning saying the Hail Mary at your altar
  2. Read the presentation story - Mary and Joseph take Jesus to the temple in Jerusalem when he is six weeks old. Simeon's heart skips a beat when he recognises that Jesus is the new king who will rule over his people as promised by God. Anna tells everyone in the temple that Jesus was the gift that all had been waiting for. Here is a nice video too. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z2wmpv4
  3. Reflect on the story by choosing one of these activities:
    - Storyboard what happened - use the video and write sentences.
    - Make 3D gingerbread puppets from cardboard or  to retell the story to your siblings
    - Write your own retelling of the story
  4. Finish your reflection by saying a prayer
Key Vocab

Plan your own story
Activity: Use the start of Robin Hood to think about what episode you could write. You need to include Robin Hood and his Merry Men robbing from the rich to give to the poor. In your story plan, use words, sentences and drawings. What will happen? Think of the Main Event - stealing for the poor. Use the plan below to help along with the Powerpoint File which will help you use the original story sequence like the other day.
