God asks us to take care of the world. Ask the question of each statement: Is this what God wants?
  1. The fish swim in the seas, the tigers roar in the jungles and the stars twinkle in the sky.
  2. These trees look useful, I could chop down one or two of these to burn on a fire and keep me warm.
  3. People are peaceful and happy.
  4. The plants grow, the flowers open and the birds sing in the trees.
  5. Use both sides of a piece of paper.
  6. People have quarrels and angry words.
  7. Catch lots of fish to eat and if there are some left over I could throw them away.
  8. Turn the tap off when I am brushing my teeth.
  9. Have a long soak in a bath full of water twice a day.
  10. Remember to switch things off when I’ve stopped using them.
  11. Have a picnic and leave the rubbish for someone else to clean up.
  12. Think about other people; share your money and the things you own.

Now think about what people can do to help – make a poster, write a poem, create a PowerPoint, write a list to show your ideas.

Activity: List poems 2 (page 3/4)
Choose your special ideas. Choose things that only you know about. Look around the room that you are in. Look out of the window. Look into your mind to places that you know well. Try to spot small, delicate things. Make each idea different and choose your words carefully.
Listen to a reading of three poems here: https://soundcloud.com/talkforwriting/delicate/s-WHFBgukquIj
Choose things to write about that only you may have seen or noticed or thought about. That way, your list of ideas will be a special way of capturing your life. Try to avoid the temptation of borrowing other people’s ideas. To get ideas, look around where you are, look out of the window and then look inside your head at places you know well. There will be hundreds of things to notice. Select your choice then make each one special by choosing your words to describe them with care.

Think about working conditions from the past. Talk about jobs you know about where bright or artificial light is very important. Consider which of these jobs, if any, were also undertaken in the past and how artificial lighting was supplied.
Look @ your sheet below - Lighting: Then and now. Talk about the jobs from the past that are listed on the activity sheet – mill worker, accountant and miner – and the light sources available then. Find out about the limitations of these sources and how these jobs were made more difficult, as well as any potential health implications.
**Now**  Use the internet and other information sources to find out how those jobs are carried out today. Note your findings on the activity sheet and discuss how the lighting has changed. Has this improved those working conditions? What do you think???

★ If you have access to the Internet, type this into Google and discover Narnia with Lucy: https://cutt.ly/2yvlv0q

  1. Read this extract (it's on page 2) about professor's diary "Would you believe me if I told you that I have a wardrobe that takes me to magical places? I have been a jungle explorer for many years. I have explored the Cloud Jungle in Peru, the wild jungles of Borneo and even the Ancient Waipoua Forest in New Zealand. However, six years ago, I bought a beautiful wardrobe at a market and when I got it home, I discovered that it was not just beautiful, but magical too! Every week, on a Sunday evening, if I step into the wardrobe, I’m transported to a magical jungle that is out of this world. Come and discover these new lands with me!"

The disciples, meanwhile, have to be reminded of the purpose of their mission. Jesus also heals the son of a government official in a way that demonstrates the importance of trusting faith.
