Home Learning, Week Beginning 4.5.20

3/5/2020

Hello Year 3.
Welcome to another week's worth of home learning! It's May!
Hope you are all keeping safe and well.
Maths is still being set by the White Rose Maths Hub!
You will find the link to the right of this screen.

Continue Daily:
  • PE With Joe (30 Mins)
  • Reading (30 minutes)
  • Complete Times Table Rockstars (30 Mins)

Continue to check the blog each day for details about the daily tasks for Maths, English, Topic, RE and Art etc.

Friday is VE Day. No Work is set. Please spend this time with your family, enjoying time together. Try to bake, cook, play games and reflect on how lucky we are to be alive and to have many people and agencies that love and care for us.

On a final note: It's the month of Mary, mother of Jesus. Please pray the Hail Mary daily.
Also, thank you to the children who are regularly completing home learning! I am seeing some fabulous evidence and tracking on my fancy laptop app! Keep up the good work.

And as a final thought, very much in line with VE Day, I'm pinning my favourite quote from an inspirational war time song by Vera Lynn.

"We'll meet again"

God Bless

Mr Crow :)

Create complex sentences using a range of conjunctions
Activity: Practice making complex sentences using conjunctions. A complex sentence is formed when you join a main clause and a subordinate clause with a conjunction A subordinate clause is one that relies on a main clause to make sense.
The conjunctions in complex sentences are subordinating conjunctions and they tell us about the order or the place in which things happened or tell us a cause or effect relationship between events. Connectives used in complex sentences include after, although, as, because, if, since, unless, when.
