Hello Year 2!
How are you? I miss you all and hope that everyone is keeping safe. I trust that you all had a restful Easter break. I spent mine learning new recipes, enjoying quality time with my two sisters and eating lots of chocolate.
I have also regularly been checking PurpleMash, Mathletics and TimesTableRockStars and would like to say a big thank you to those pupils who have completed the tasks I have set. Keep up the good work!
Here is a fun brain teaser to get pupils (and parents) brains moving this week! There are 6 words all written in capital letters hidden in this picture. Can you find them all? Good luck.
I’m sure that you are all missing school as much as I am, however, learning can happen anywhere! I have put together this timetable with a list of activities for you all to complete at home daily. All the web links you require are also be listed below.

And last but not least, I have a picture to share with you all. Our beans in the bag have begun to germinate and grow. How exciting!
You could print or draw this picture and begin to label it. What parts of the plant can you see beginning to grow ? This video might help you to explain and write a description of what is happening to our seeds (https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z3wsbk7)
I hope you have lots of fun completing the activities I have set. Good luck.
Miss McKenna X
