26/2/2021

Hello Reception,
You have done so well with your learning this week.  Your counting and ordering of numbers on Purple Mash was fantastic! I am so proud of what you have done!

Here is your learning for today:
  • Reading:  Listen to this story called 'The Marvellous Moon Map'.  Stay watching after the story for another draw along.  Scan the QR code or copy and paste the link.

  • Counting: Choose any number between 0 and 20.  Clap that number of times.  Choose another number.  Stomp that number of times.  What else could you do?
  • Writing:  See below the phonics for today's writing activity.
  • Keep active:  Try this Yoga workout.
Keep talking:  What have you enjoyed doing this week?  What hasn't gone well?  I enjoyed....   I didn't like it when......
Phonics:  Today's phonics lesson is a review of this week's sounds.  You will need some paper and something to write with.
Writing: Today we are going to practise the writing we have done this week.  See below for the sounds to practise writing.  Remember to make the sounds as you write them.  Can you remember any of the words for each sound?

Literacy:  Today you are going to retell 'The Gruffalo' story.  Below are some picture cards to help remind you of the order of the story.  You could also go back and watch me reading the story on the videos from Monday and Wednesday.  Remember to talk in full sentences about each picture.
Maths:  What day was it yesterday?  What day is it today?  What day will it be tomorrow?

Watch the White Rose Maths video by clicking on the link below.  You will also need to listen to the story 'Jasper's Beanstalk'.  See below for the Youtube link.
Today's session is Growing 6, 7, 8
WEEK 3 Session 3 Days of the Week

See the activity below after watching the story 'Jasper's Beanstalk'.  You don't need to print it.  Can you say the days of the week in the right order?  Draw what Jasper did on each day of the week in the story.
Well done for working so hard this week.  You have done really well.    Do something you enjoy on your own or with your family -  draw a picture, go outside for a walk, do a puzzle, play with your toys, do some cooking, dance to some music, read a book.
