23/2/2021

Good morning Reception,
I hope you are settling back into your home learning.
It was good news that we will all be seeing each other very soon.  It won't be long now.  Keep up with your home learning so I can see all the fantastic things you have learned when we get back to school.
Here is your learning for today:
  • Reading:  Here is another story for you to listen to.  It's called 'Beegu' and is read by the author Alexis Deacon.  At the end of the story you can also draw along with Alexis to draw Beegu.  Scan the barcode or copy and paste the link to watch.

  • Counting:  Choose a number on the number track below.  Say the number that is one more and one less than the number you have chosen.  You can use the number track to help you.  You could also get that number of objects and add one more or take one away to help you.  Count the number you have made.  Now try with different numbers.

  • Writing - see below the phonics video for today's writing linked to the sound we are learning.
  • Keep active: Try this GoNoodle activity with Young Dylan.
Do some talking:   What is your favourite game to play?  Why do you like it?  I like to play because.....
Phonics: Today's digraph is 'ee'.  You will need some paper and a pencil.
Writing: Today's writing is linked to the sound 'ee'.  Write the letters that make the ‘ee’ sound.  Now write the words with 'ee' in them - see, bee.  Then write the sentence -  I see a queen bee.

Draw a number track from 1 to 12.  Get 2 objects you can use as counters.  You will also need 2 dice.  If you haven't got any dice use this interactive dice nrich.maths.org/6717  If you click on the purple cog in the corner you can select the 1-6 dice with dots and you can select 2 dice (see the picture).

Yesterday you found out about the habitats of animals that live in a woodland.  Today, find out what these animals like to eat.
