Miss Karla's Our Hero!

Whilst many of us have been adjusting to life locked down, missing friends, family and loved ones, one very special individual has not only been working tirelessly at school to care for the pupils but has been doing her special bit (on her own) for frontline workers. Take a bow Miss Karla!

​Miss Karla (nursery Teacher) has been spending her weekdays and weekends since lockdown manufacturing "scrubs" (the term for healthcare worker's protective clothing) huddled up on her lounge floor, surrounded by huge amounts of navy scrub material.

She uses a small sewing machine and her hands to stitch the attire for hours in her small London home.

Miss Karla, who has so far now hand stitched 40 sets of garments, said "it's such a nice thing to be doing something good and helpful for those in need"

All garments she has made are being shipped accross London to hospitals including the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, The Homerton University Hospital, Hackney and  Queens Hospital in Romford.
