St. Agnes becomes a 'Healthy School!'

St. Agnes are delighted to announce that we have achieved a Healthy Schools Bronze Award!
As of February this year, St. Agnes was awarded the healthy schools' bronze status. This is due to the amount of hard work and dedication the teachers, support staff and lunch supervisors put in to ensuring the children are provided with a thriving healthy environment.

The award recognises that the school foster children's healthy development by:

• Giving the children access to sustainable drinking water
• Providing a delicious, healthy and nutritional lunch menu with a wide selection of fruit, veg, salads and cheeses
• Providing a rich, engaging and challenging physical education and PSHE curriculum
• Tackling issues such as smoking, drugs, alcohol and relationships
• Addressing the need to be aware of "stranger danger" 
• Highlighting fire safety
• Linking how to stay safe, healthy and clean in science and PSHE sessions.
