Year 1 homework blog - 19.04.21

Welcome back everyone! 

I hope you had a wonderful Easter and had some time to relax and recharge ready to start learning together again! 

Below you will find your homework for this week. 
Remember, when you read you do not need to read the book from cover to cover each day. Here is a suggested structure: 

• Day 1: Look at the title and blurb and make a prediction. Have you read any similar books that could help you make this prediction too? 
• Day 2: Read the book. Was your prediction correct? If so why? If not why? 
• Day 3: Recap the book and sequence the story to someone you live with. What was your favourite part? 

As we are recapping some key maths skills for the next couple of weeks, you may find the maths homework a little repetitive. However it is really important to learn these skills and learn them well - this will help you apply them to more challenging questions!
